The story of Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:4-3:24)
Adam and Eve Story. God saw everything that he made was, and the world was perfectly prepared to live for the people. Then God created a man named ‘Adam’ and a woman named ‘Eve.’ God gave the authority of his new world to Adam and Eve so that they take care of trees, birds, fishes and other animals.
God gave Adam and Eve a beautiful place to live. At that Place Rivers of clear water flowed, there were shade trees and all the delicious juicy fruits to eat. The name of that place was “Garden of Eden.”
Adam and Eve were pleased there. God forbid them to do just one thing and banned them from eating the fruit of a particular tree, which gave knowledge and understanding of good and evil. God had told them that if they ate the fruit of that tree, they would surely die. Adam and Eve lived there by obeying what God instructed them and lived there like a friend of HIM.
But there was someone who was not happy with what was happening and wanted to spoil this world of God. One day when Eve was passing through the tree giving knowledge of good and evil in the garden, she heard the voice of whispering snake.
That voice said to Eve, Look how good this fruit is. Don’t you get water in your mouth after seeing this fruit? Why don’t you eat this fruit? This fruit will make you very wise. If you eat, you will become wise just like God.
Eve heard that whispering voice of snake. She saw the fruit and forgot that God was good and kind to her and started thinking of becoming intelligent like God. As she wanted to fulfill her wishes.
Eve lifted her hand and took that fruit. She started eating that fruit, and from that fruit, she also gave some Adam to eat.
From that time there was a disturbance in all things. God also came to know what Adam and Eve did because nothing can hide from God. Now Adam and Eve were not friends of God, and HE sends them out from the Garden of Eden. They had to leave the vicinity of Garden of Eden, where they were so happy. By staying there, they used to walk and talk with God. But after they were out the angel of the Lord used to guard with the sword at Garden of Eden so that Adam and Eve could never come back to that garden.
God Cursed both Adam and Eve as they disobeyed God’s command. God also cursed the snake that he will crawl on the belly and eat dust.
Now Adam and Eve had to work very hard for their living and so much hard work that they would have been too tired. They now know how pain is. But the worst was that God’s warnings were about to come true, they knew that they would die early and die.
After living Eden’s garden Adam and Eve had two sons. Their names were Cain and Abel.
