Here begins the wonderful story of Jesus birth for children, the Savior of the world, the Son of God.
God sent an angel to a virgin named Mary who lived in a town of Israel. This Mary was engaged to a man called Joseph.
The angel greeted Mary and said, “Congratulations. You have been favored to receive God’s blessing.”
Mary was startled and confused by this greeting and tried to think what the angel meant.
“Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her. “You have been chosen by God for a wonderful blessing. Soon you will become pregnant and give birth to a baby boy! Name him ‘Jesus’ (Savior). This child will become very great. He will save from their sins all those who believe in God. Yes, he will be called the Son of God, and someday will be king over all the earth. There will be no end to his kingdom; he will rule forever and ever.”
Then Mary asked the angel, “How can such a thing happen? I am a virgin I don’t have a husband yet.”
The angel replied, “The Spirit of God will come upon you, and you will be overshadowed by the power of God. So the baby born to you will be called the Son of God. For nothing, Mary, is impossible to God.” And then the angel disappeared.
Now Joseph the man to whom Mary was engaged, was a man of stem principle, and when he heard that Mary was pregnant, he decided to break the engagement. But he wanted to do it quietly, as he didn’t want to publicly disgrace her.
As he lay awake considering this, he fell into a dream, and saw an angel” standing beside him. “Joseph,” the angel said, “don’t hesitate to take Mary as your wife! The child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a Son, and God’s message through His prophets will now come true: ‘Listen! A virgin shall conceive and give birth to a male child. He will be named “Immanuel” (this means: “God is with us.”)'”.
As soon as Joseph awoke, he did as the angel commanded, and brought Mary home to be his wife.
But she remained a virgin until her Son was born.
Now about this time Caesar Augustus, the Roman Emperor, decreed that a census should be taken throughout his empire. Everyone was’ required to return to his ancestral home for this registration. So Joseph also journeyed from the village of Nazareth in Galilee to the town of Bethlehem in Judea, his ancestral home. He took with him Mary, who was close to the time for giving birth to her baby.
And so it was while they were in Bethlehem that the promised baby was born. Mary gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him in a blanket and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the village inn. And Joseph named the child “Jesus”.
The story of Jesus birth for children says a Savior was born to save the whole humankind. You need to believe and trust in Him.
